Immigration bars 3 sex offenders from entering PH
MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has barred the entry of three American sex offenders into the country.
According to the bureau, the foreign nationals tried to enter the Philippines via the international airports in Manila and Cebu.
“Excluded last January 10 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 was American national Rolando Camama, 73, who arrived on board a China Airlines flight from Taipei,” the BI said in a statement on Saturday.
Also blocked from entering the country on the same day was 56-year-old Kenneth Ray Miller.
He arrived on board a China Eastern flight from Shanghai, said the BI.
Meanwhile, immigration officers from Mactan-Cebu International Airport barred the entry of 79-year-old Kenneth Anthony Mulford, who arrived from Dubai on January 11.

The sex offenders were identified through a sex offender registry, a system that is being implemented in several countries that allows the government to monitor the activities of sex offenders, said the BI.
Meanwhile, RSOs are those who are convicted of crimes involving sexual offenses, including rape, sexual assault, or child molestation.
In 2023 alone, the BI said that it had blocked the entry of 171 sex offenders into the country.
Among the list were Americans, British nationals, Australians, Irishmen, Germans, and Chinese nationals.
