SC: 2024 Bar Exam application from January 15 to April 5

MANILA, Philippines – The application period for the 2024 Bar examination will start on January 15, the Supreme Court’s (SC) Office of the Bar Chairperson announced Thursday.

In Bar Bulletin No. 2, signed by Associate Justice and 2024, Bar Chairperson Mario Lopez said the application will run until April 5.

“All new applicants, previous takers and refreshers who do not have existing accounts with the Supreme Court’s online platform Bar Applicant Registration System and Tech Assistance or BARISTA must create their individual applicant at https://barista.gov.ph,” Lopez said in a Bar bulletin.

Lopez said all applicants are also required to complete or update their existing profile, fill out the application form, upload their digital copies of the documentary requirements, and pay the P12,800 application fee.

Given that the deadline for the filing of application is within the school calendar, the SC said new applicants who failed to complete their law degree, and refreshers who also failed to finish their refresher course or take the pre-bar review course have until September 6 to request a refund of their application fee.

Aside from having a digital examination, the SC also maintained the regionalized exam where the applicants have the option to choose three cities ranked where they prefer to take their exam by order of preference among the local testing centers to be set up across Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

This year’s Bar exam is set on Sept. 8, 11 and 15.

Last year’s Bar exam were held in 14 local testing centers, including five in Metro Manila.

A total of 3,812 out of the 10,387 examinees passed.
