Bongbong Marcos to monitor upkeep of cleanliness in barangays
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Tuesday said that he himself will monitor the upkeep of cleanliness in barangays after the recently concluded Community Development Day.
Marcos had ordered a nationwide cleanup program that incentivized local government units to keep their communities clean.
In a video message on Instagram, Marcos said that while he was happy with cleanup efforts, the program is not new.
However, what will change is that the President will monitor the cleanup.
“Ang kaayusan at kalinisan sa bawat barangay ay tutukan ng iyong Pangulo. Yan ang isang bago, sa Bagong Pilipinas,” said Marcos.
