Man killed in Mandaue bike crash

A 22-year-old man was killed after the motorcycle he drove hit another motorcycle in barangay Basak, Mandaue City.

Ryan Mirabueno, 22, a native of barangay Cogon, Bogo City, was declared dead when he was brought to the Mandaue City Hospital. The driver of the other motorcycle, Jose Dandy Amolo, 39, of barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City, sustained minor injuries.

Although he had a helmet on during the accident, Mirabueno still sustained severe head injuries, said police.

Police said Mirabueno was seen driving at high speed along a road past 5 p.m. last Thursday when Amolo suddenly turned left from the opposite lane on his way to a gas station.
