Dole sets holiday pay dates for 2024
Salaried workers can look forward to double pay for 11 days declared regular holidays next year.
The regular holidays next year are:
- New Year’s Day (Jan. 1)
- Maundy Thursday (March 28)
- Good Friday (March 29)
- Araw ng Kagitingan (April 9)
- Labor Day (May 1)
- Independence Day (June 12)
- National Heroes Day (Aug. 26)
- Bonifacio Day (Nov. 30)
- Christmas Day (Dec. 25)
- Rizal Day (Dec. 30)
- Eid al-Fitr (date to be proclaimed)
- Eid al-Adha (date to be proclaimed)
Under guidelines issued by the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) on Dec. 12, employees who will render work during the regular holidays are entitled to 200 percent of their wage for the first eight hours.

The special nonworking days next year are:
- Chinese New Year (Feb. 10)
- Black Saturday (March 30)
- Ninoy Aquino Day (Aug. 21)
- All Saints’ Day (Nov. 1)
- All Souls’ Day (Nov. 2)
- Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary (Dec. 8)
- Christmas Eve (Dec. 24)
- Last Day of the Year (Dec. 31) —DONA Z. PAZZIBUGAN
