The government is ready to deploy more than 1,000 vehicles and 9,000 cops as the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has identified at least 13 transport routes that may be affected by the three-day strike by a group of public utility jeepneys starting Monday.

Speaking at the Daniel Inouye Asia Pacific for Security Studies here, the President cited the “critical role” of the US-Philippine alliance.

Fuel prices to go down by 60¢ to 75¢ per liter on Nov 21

Slowing global demand again triggered rollbacks in the pump prices of petroleum products by as much as P0.75 per liter effective on Tuesday, Nov. 21.

In separate advisories, local oil firms said they would slash the prices of gasoline by P0.75 per liter and diesel by P0.65 per liter. The price of kerosene will likewise decline by P0.60 per liter.
