2 female students of Taguig high school found dead
MANILA, Philippines — Two teenage female students were found dead inside an office of the Signal Village National High School in Taguig City on Friday night.
The families of the students, as well as parents of other students in the school, are calling for justice and for the truth to come out.
A report by the Taguig police showed that the victims Martha and Shiela (not their real names) were found dead at around 11 p.m. on Nov. 10, inside the Girls Scout Mini Office on the third floor of the school’s Magsaysay Building.
Their bodies were found by another student hanging with a rope tied around their necks and attached to a steel grill in the office.
Martha, 15, was a Grade 10 student and resident of Barangay South Signal, Taguig; while Shiela, 13, was a Grade 8 student, of Barangay Central Signal.
Article continues after this advertisementA witness, Danille, a 16-year-old student told Taguig police she last saw the two students at around 7:45 p.m. and told her they would go home.
Article continues after this advertisementHowever, she later read in their group chat that the two did not go home. She decided to go back to the school and found the bodies of Martha and Shiela.
The witness informed the security guards, who in turn reported the incident to Taguig police. In a statement, the Taguig police said initial evidence gathered by the Scene of the Crime Operatives “do not indicate foul play in the deaths of two female high school student.”
