Meralco gears up for barangay, SK polls
MANILA, Philippines — The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) on Wednesday said it is likewise gearing up for the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections on Monday, October 30.
“Nearly 3,000 polling centers and canvassing sites have been inspected and repaired to ensure uninterrupted voting,” it said in a Facebook post on Wednesday.
“300 generator sets and 800 floodlights are ready to be deployed in case of unexpected power outages, so voting remains uninterrupted,” it added.
The Commission on Elections said voting hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
