OTS suspends Naia security officer accused of stealing $300
MANILA, Philippines — The airport security officer accused of stealing and swallowing $300 from a departing passenger has been put on preventive suspension by the Office for Transportation Security (OTS), the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said in a statement issued on Wednesday.
On Sept. 8, a checkpoint supervisor reported that a passenger lost $300 at Naia Terminal 1. CCTV footage then showed that a female security officer stealing and swallowing the missing cash.

“We trust the leadership of the Office for Transportation Security. Their immediate request for viewing of the CCTV footage shortly after the incident happened, is a manifestation of their resolve to take quick action against erring personnel,” MIAA officer-in-charge Bryan Co said.
