#WalangPasok: Class suspensions on Friday, September 1
MANILA, Philippines — Classes have been suspended in some parts of the country on Friday, September 1, due to inclement weather.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, the southwest monsoon being enhanced by Severe Tropical Storm Hanna (international name: Haikui) as well as Super Typhoon Goring (international name: Saola) will continue to bring overcast skies and moderate to heavy rainfall over parts of the archipelago in the next 72 hours.
Below is a list of areas that have suspended classes on Friday, September 1 as of 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 31:
Metro Manila
- All levels, public and private schools
Atok, Benguet
- Preschool to high school, public and private schools
Appari, Cagayan
- All levels, public schools
Angeles, Pampanga
- All levels, public and private schools
Ilocos Region
- Dagupan City – all levels (public and private)
Cagayan Valley
- Aparri – all levels (only public schools)
Cordillera Administrative Region
- Abra – all levels (public and private)
- Benguet – preschool to senior high school (public and private)
Central Luzon
- Masantol, Pampanga – all levels (public and private)
- Angeles City – all levels (public and private)
- Hagonoy, Bulacan – all levels (public and private)
Western Visayas
- Bacolod City – all levels (public and private)
