Inquirer columnist’s home strafed
MANILA, Philippines – Three unidentified suspects opened fire at Philippine Daily Inquirer columnist and U.P professor Randy David’s house in Quezon City Tuesday night, Radyo Inquirer reported on Wednesday.
Senior Police Officer 3 Sam Gonzales said David’s house in Barangay UP Campus, Diliman Quezon City was strafed at around 8:00 in the evening by the suspects on board a white FX taxi with plate number UDM-191.
No one was hurt in the incident but Gonzales said David’s Toyota innova was hit by the bullets at its right fender.
Police also recovered spent shells of caliber 45 and 9mm from the crime scene, said Gonzales .
Investigators could not yet establish the motive behind the strafing as they have yet to talk to the columnist.
