4 drugs suspects busted in Cavite; P4.7M shabu, marijuana seized
LUCENA CITY – Police arrested four drug suspects in separate operations in Cavite on Saturday and seized more than P4.7 million worth of shabu (crystal meth) and marijuana.
The Police Region 4A (PRO-4A), in a report on Sunday, said anti-narcotics operatives busted Pangadapon Macatiwas at around 12:30 p.m. in Barangay Paliparan 1, Dasmariñas City.
The suspect, who was tagged in the report as a high-value target, yielded several packs of shabu weighing a total of 600 grams with an estimated street value of P4,000,080.
Lieutenant Colonel Socrates Jaca, Dasmariñas police chief, in another report, said local drug enforcers arrested a two other suspects in Barangay Sampaloc 4 at around 5 p.m.
Seized from them were 75 grams of shabu worth an estimated P510,000.
Article continues after this advertisementIn General Trias City, the PRO-4A reported the arrest of Simon Christopher Banton in Barangay Santiago at around 8 p.m.
Police recovered some P152,000 worth of brick-sized dried marijuana leaves from Banton.
The suspects were detained at the local police jail and will face a formal complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
