SCTEX Pasig-Potrero bridge now open to light vehicles
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — The Pasig-Potrero Bridge along the Porac, Pampanga portion of the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) is now open to light vehicles, the NLEX Corporation announced late afternoon on Monday, August 7.
“Class 1 vehicles may now pass through the innermost lanes (lane 1) of the SCTEX Pasig Potrero Bridge in Porac, Pampanga. Class 2 and class 3 vehicles are advised to take alternate routes while embankment works are still ongoing,” the toll road corporation said.
NLEX Corporation, a Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation subsidiary, said the bridge was opened to light vehicles like cars, sports utility vehicles, vans, and other small four-wheeled vehicles at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
The SCTEX Pasig-Potrero Bridge was closed to traffic for several days due to strong river currents brought by Super Typhoon Egay (Doksuri).
NLEX Corp. said embankment works have been underway since July 19. INQ
