PAWS says it will file an animal cruelty case against a security guard who tossed puppy to death

The Philippine Animal Welfare Society says it will file a case against a security guard responsible for the tragic death of a puppy near a mall in Quezon City.

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (Paws) is “now taking steps in filing a case” of animal cruelty against a security guard who was caught on video throwing a puppy from a pedestrian bridge.

“The guard’s behavior and the act of killing the puppy is certainly what the Animal Welfare Act seeks to punish,” the group said in a statement.
