MMDA taps community to help improve road conditions, traffic
MANILA, Philippines – Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Francis Tolentino on Friday announced that his agency will tap the help of the community to improve the driving and road condition in Metro Manila.
The move was prompted by a CNN survey that listed Manila as among the worst places to drive in.
Tolentino said the agency’s first target is to solve the problems caused by U-turns slots on major thoroughfares.
“The CNN report is an eye-opener for us. We should help improve traffic. On Monday, we will meet with leaders of homeowners from the Katipunan area in Quezon City,” Tolentino told Radyo Inquirer 990AM.
