SustainablePH partners with FPJ Panday Bayanihan Foundation to launch Learn2Lead Sustainability Program

MANILA, Philippines — SustainablePH, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing sustainability in the Philippines, is pleased to announce its partnership with the FPJ Panday Bayanihan Foundation to launch the highly anticipated 2023 cohort of SustainablePH’s Learn2Lead Sustainability (L2LS) program.

Collaborating with the FPJ Panday Bayanihan Foundation enhances the L2LS program by emphasizing community action and environmental stewardship. Chaired by Dr. Brian Poe Llamanzares, author of the published book “A Sustainable Future,” the foundation shares SustainablePH’s vision of creating a sustainable future for the Philippines.

“We are excited about this partnership,” said Shawntel Nieto, President of SustainablePH. “Together, we have the opportunity to leverage our collective expertise and resources to drive sustainable change at both the organizational and community levels. It all begins by enabling professionals to become leaders of change.”

Dr. Brian Poe-Llamanzares expressed his enthusiasm about working with the L2LS program. The program will incorporate Poe-Llamanzares’ book “A Sustainable Future” into the curriculum, and each participant will receive a complimentary copy of the book to aid their studies in sustainability.

“It is imperative that we do this. The more sustainability professionals we can train, the greater impact we can have on the environment and our fellow Filipinos. Our learnings from this program will eventually help us develop a full curriculum with the L2LS team, which we can then offer to colleges and universities nationwide.”

L2LS is a practical and comprehensive 10-week hybrid training program designed explicitly for sustainability practitioners. It empowers participants with the knowledge and skills to drive meaningful change within their organizations. The program, scheduled to run from August to October 2023, focuses on the theory and practice of sustainability management, providing participants with a deep understanding of sustainability from both global and Philippine perspectives.

Throughout the L2LS program, participants will gain valuable insights and practical tools to address sustainability challenges within their organizations.
