6:45 p.m. – Talk ’N Text vs. Barako Bull

Denzel Bowles served up an enormous bowl of all-around brilliance as he towed the B-Meg Derby Ace Llamados to the finals with a 108-84 win against the Barangay Ginebra Kings in Game 4 of their semifinal series in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup yesterday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Bowles, the youngest import in this conference, scored 34 points, had 14 rebounds and six assists as the Llamados wrapped up the series, 3-1.

Bowles anchored the Llamados’ comeback from 14 points down in the first half by scoring 10 in the game-breaking 19-2 run that all but won the game for B-Meg.

FEATURED STORIES

The Kings led, 25-11, in the first period but B-Meg fought back and trimmed the deficit to just seven, 24-31.

The Llamados went to work while the wheels fell off the Kings’ wagon as B-Meg scored 17 straight points in the second quarter with Bowles scoring at will inside the shaded lane for a 58-44 lead.

Rookie Dylan Ababou tried to rally Ginebra with eight straight points that cut the deficit to 15, 71-86.

But as luck would have it, Ababou, Ginebra’s leading scorer for the night with 17, fouled out with 8:49 left and was followed shortly by import Jackson Vroman, who finished with a pedestrian performance of 14 points and seven boards.

The Llamados now await the winner of the deciding Game 5 in the semifinal series between the defending champion Talk ’N Text and Barako Bull tonight at 6:45 p.m.
