Teves urges Bongbong Marcos: Beware of those near you
MANILA, Philippines — Negros Oriental Rep. Arnolfo Teves Jr. on Thursday warned President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to be cautious of the people around him, particularly Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla.
In a lengthy outburst against Remulla, Teves challenged his credibility and denied being on a private plane with 13 others, claiming the aircraft only had room for 10 people.

“Ang request ko kay Bongbong Marcos, tingnan niya yung mga tauhan niya, bakit ko sinasbaing tingnan niya yung mga tauhan niya? Ngayon ang panahon na i-assess ni BBM (Bongbong Marcos) yung integridad ng tao niya. Kung hindi masagot ni Boying Remulla ang aking dalawang pinaka-importang dalawang tanong, sa tingin ko dapat sibakin na siya ni BBM,” asked Teves during a press briefing.
(I urge Bongbong Marcos to evaluate his associates, specifically their integrity. If Boying Remulla fails to answer crucial questions, BBM should consider dismissal.)
Teves also asked how many persons were aboard his claimed helicopter that killed Gov. Roel Degamo, stating its model could not carry all of the suspects.

The lawmaker is still mum on his whereabouts and is elusive when he will come home. Despite being offered special protection by Marcos Jr., Teves has refused to go home, believing he will be killed if he returns to the Philippines.
Before the House of Representatives adjourned its 1st Regular Session, Teves was slapped with another 60-day suspension. He was also stripped of his chair duties in House committees.
