Batuhan essay writing tilt moves on to next level

WINNERS of the school level of the 1st Aristotle Batuhan Community Leadership Awards essay writing contest are being screened for the district level  of the competition.

Ten entries will be chosen from the school winners to become district finalists. The chosen entries will receive certificates of recognition and P1,000 worth of gift certificates.

Around 40 schools in Cebu City’s south district joined the contest.

The leadership awards seek to promote the advocacy of lawyer Aristotle Batuhan of empowering communities.

“The youth should be prepared for they will be future leaders. They should be instilled with community awareness and leadership,” Batuhan said.

From the ten finalists from each category, a panel of judges will choose the top three winners, which will be announced on April 27.

In the high school category, the first place winner will receive a trophy and P5,000 cash, while in the elementary category, the first place winner will also receive a trophy and P3,000 in cash.
