The House of Representatives has approved on third reading a proposal that would create specialty hospitals under the Department of Health (DOH) supervision.

MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives on Tuesday approved on second reading a measure seeking to extend the estate tax amnesty period for two years, or until 2025.

Voting viva voce, the House approved House Bill No. 7909, which extends the estate amnesty period to June 14, 2025 from the current June 14, 2023 deadline.

Under the proposed measure, during the two-year extended period for estate tax amnesty, the executor, administrator or legal heirs of the estate may file for estate tax amnesty and pay the amnesty tax with the Bureau of Internal Revenue’s revenue district offices.

The tax amnesty will cover the estate of decedents who died on or before December 31, 2021.
