POLICE recovered zinc anodes—metal bars used for corrosion-control in ships—from a junkshop in barangay Pasil, Cebu City.

Police said the metal bars were stolen from a French vessel that docked at the Cebu International Port for a goodwill visit last February.

Senior Supt. Melvin Ramon Buenafe, chief of the Cebu City Police Office, turned over the anodes to the Naval Forces Central (Navforcen) last Wednesday.
