Twister hits village

MAGUINDANAO—At least 25 houses situated along the coastal areas of Barangay Polloc, Parang town, were destroyed when a tornado hit the village on Thursday afternoon.

Three sitios were affected by the tornado, according to barangay secretary Abubakar Abdul. He said villagers first noticed thunderstorm and thick black clouds covering Polloc at about 3 p.m., then a very strong wind hit the barangay bringing with it shanties, corrugated sheets, plastic materials and tree trunks.
