MANILA, Philippines—Rain still has not let up since Thursday and floods were still being monitored by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority.

In Malabon City, MMDA Metrobase communications equipment officer Cholo Tomas said that flood in Dampalit was waist-deep and knee-level on M.H. del Pilar. No vehicles could pass these areas as of 7 a.m.

Tomas said they have also received reports of floods above the gutter along Letre and Panghulo, while it was gutter-level for Pampano and Gen. Luna.

Malabon City is one of the most flooded cities in Metro Manila during rainy days, among other areas in the Camanava (Caloocan-Malabon-Navotas-Valenzuela), which are all along the shoreline.

Floods that hit other areas of the metropolis on Thursday night have already subsided, he added.
