Pagasa: Cloudy Sunday, hot and humid mid-day and possible rain showers
MANILA, Philippines — Partly cloudy to overcast skies with possible rain showers are expected throughout the country on Sunday due to the effects of easterlies, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“Ngayong araw ng Linggo, buong araw ang Luzon kasama ang Metro Manila ay makakaranas ng bahagyang maulap hanggang maulap na kalangitan, magiging mainit at maalinsangan pa rin ang panahon lalo na sa tanghali,” said Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda.
(This sunday, Luzon including Metro Manila will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies, it will be hot and humid especially at noon.)
Due to the influence of the easterlies, however, isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are still likely especially in the eastern and northern sections of Luzon.
Castañeda added that the same weather conditions will likewise prevail in the Visayas and Mindanao, with chances of severe thunderstorms also due to the easterlies
