Misamis Oriental’s COVID-19 positivity rate now ‘high’ at 26.8% — Octa

MANILA, Philippines — Misamis Oriental’s COVID-19 positivity rate jacked up to 26.8 percent which is considered “high,” independent analytics group Octa Research said on Monday.

In a Twitter post, Octa Research fellow Guido David said that Misamis Oriental’s positivity rate rose from 17.1 percent on March 18 to 26.8 percent on March 25.

The province’s COVID-19 positivity rate is more than five times higher than the 5-percent threshold set by the World Health Organization.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila’s COVID-19 positivity rate was stagnant at 3.2 percent, said David.

Cavite – 2.5 percent

Davao del Sur – 6 percent

Iloilo – 0.7 percent

Pangasinan – 1.8 percent

The nationwide positivity rate, on the other hand, was at 3.7 percent on March 26, David said.
