3 nabbed, P89,000 ‘shabu’ seized in Tarlac
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested three people and seized P89,700 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation at San Jose village, Concepcion, Tarlac late Tuesday (March 21).
In a statement, the PDEA Central Luzon identified the suspects as Marino Dela Peña, 42; Loida Villapeña, 49; and Irene Dumaguin, 30.
Glen Guillermo, PDEA-3 information officer, said an undercover operative managed to buy shabu from Dela Peña and his companions using marked money.
After handing over the illegal drugs and accepting the money, the three were arrested.
Three transparent sachets containing around 13 grams of shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia were confiscated from the suspects.
