Cops arrest 13 drug suspects, seize P870,400 worth of ‘shabu’ in Bicol
MANILA, Philippines — The Police Regional Office 5 (PRO5) on Tuesday said it arrested 13 drug suspects following a series of operations in the Bicol Region that yielded a total of P870,400 worth of “shabu” or crystal meth.
In a Facebook post, the PRO5 said their anti-criminality drives were conducted across Bicol from March 11-13.
Police said suspects Marlo Conge Saar and Samuel Abdul Adalig were arrested in Camarines Norte during a buy-bust operation. PRO5 dubbed this their “biggest drug haul” over the weekend since they confiscated 75 grams of shabu worth P510,000.
In Albay’s Libon municipality, police said they captured Emelita “Niña” Boton Cedo, 43, after she was found possessing 15 grams of shabu with an estimated P102,000.
A total of 13 grams of shabu worth P88,400, meanwhile, was seized by authorities from arrested suspects Elsa Debois Buen, 45; Lito Debois Buen, 37; Rommel Debois Buen, 49; Merriam Biazong Reyes, 32; and Michelle Marantal Espineda, 40, in Sorsogon City, Sorsogon.
Article continues after this advertisementPolice also reported the arrest of Junie Arroyo, 48, during a buy-bust operation in Naga City, Camarines Sur. The suspect yielded 10 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P68,000, police added.
