PDEA nabs 5, seizes P103,000 ‘shabu’ in Mabalacat City

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — An alleged drug peddler and his four companions were arrested during a buy-bust operation in suspected drug den in Dapdap village here, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Luzon (PDEA 3) said Sunday, March 12.

PDEA 3 information officer Glen Guillermo said P103,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) was confiscated during the sting operation conducted at 7:20 p.m. on March 11.

He identified the suspected drug peddler as Jay Elced Fausto, 29, and his companions Peter Canyo, 40; Kausie Manuel, 22; Karl De Vera, 19; and Juan Ordineza, 43.

Guillermo said operatives from PDEA Pampanga and PDEA Tarlac offices jointly conducted the buy-bust operation at the suspected drug den allegedly maintained by Fausto.

Operatives reportedly seized 15 grams of shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia and recovered the marked money used in the sting operation.

The arrested suspects are facing charges of violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
