Two nabbed in Bicol drug buy-busts

Authorities arrest two suspected drug personalities in separate operations in Albay and Camarines Sur provinces on March 7, 2023.

LEGAZPI CITY — Authorities arrested two suspected drug personalities and recovered more than P20,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in separate operations in Albay and Camarines Sur provinces on Tuesday, March 7.

Naga City police spokesperson Senior Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon said that Felix Friginal Jr., 42, was arrested after selling a sachet of shabu worth P1,000 to an undercover agent in Barangay (village) Sta. Cruz at around 11:25 p.m.

Authorities recovered two more sachets of shabu from Friginal, who was tagged as a street-level peddler.

Bongon said a total of 1.5 grams of shabu worth P10,000 was confiscated from the suspect.

Meanwhile, Albay police spokesperson Lt. Kharren Formales said Anne Regnier Blanco, 38, was also arrested in Barangay Ilawod in Daraga town at around 3:45 p.m.

Formales said 1.5 grams of shabu worth P10,200 and P500 buy-bust money were confiscated from the suspect.

The two suspects were facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said.
