Pagasa: Fair Wednesday weather in most parts of PH

MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather with possible rain showers will prevail in most of the country on Wednesday, according to the state weather bureau. 

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the northeast monsoon or “amihan” is expected to trigger rain in Cagayan Valley and parts of the Cordillera region.

The rest of the country, including Metro Manila will have mostly fair weather. 

Pagasa weather specialist Rhea Torres said an “amihan” induced gale warning remains hoisted over the northern and eastern seaboards of Luzon, including Batanes, Cagayan, Babuyan Islands, Isabela, Aurora, Ilocos Norte, Camarines Norte, Catanduanes, Ilocos Sur, Pangasinan, La Union, Zambales and northern coasts of Camarines Sur and Quezon, including the northern and eastern coasts of Polillo Islands. 

Torres added that the low-pressure area last spotted 410 kilometers east of Aparri, Cagayan, is not likely to intensify into a tropical cyclone. 

“This will not be affecting any part of the country as it moves further away from the Philippines,” she added in Filipino.
