Over P500,000 ‘shabu’ seized in Camarines Norte buy-busts

P374,000 shabu seized in Camarines Norte bust

LEGAZPI CITY — Authorities arrested three suspected drug traders and recovered P511,500 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in separate buy-bust operations late Sunday, Feb. 13, in Camarines Norte province.

Lieutenant Colonel Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, identified two suspects as Angel Castillo, 36, and Richard Villacrusis, 42, both residents of Jose Panganiban town, tagged as newly identified drug personalities.

Calubaquib said in a report that authorities confiscated six sachets or 75 grams of shabu worth P510,000 from the suspects during the operation at 11:50 p.m. in Barangay Tawig.

In Talisay town, a delivery rider identified as “Willy,” 38, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. in Barangay Calintaan.

Major Conrado De Vera Jr., Talisay police chief, said authorities recovered three sachets of shabu worth P1,500.

The suspects will be charged of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
