3 drug suspects busted in Quezon, yield P176,000 worth of shabu, gun

LUCENA CITY – Three drug pushers were arrested early Sunday, Feb. 12, and yielded more than P176,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) and an illegal firearm in a buy-bust operation in Tiaong town in Quezon province.

Police Colonel Ledon Monte, Quezon police chief, said in a report that suspects Henry de los Reyes, Sharlyn Anglo, and Orlando Ramilo, all identified meth peddlers in the locality, were arrested by members of the local police drug enforcement unit at around 1:30 a.m. in a buy-bust operation in Barangay (village) Paiisa.

Seized from the suspects were eight plastic sachets of shabu with a total street value of P176,256.

De los Reyes also yielded an undocumented caliber .22 pistol loaded with one bullet.

Police were tracking the source of the illegal drugs.

The suspects were placed in police custody and faced charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

De los Reyes will also be slapped with another case for illegal possession of a firearm.
