US Embassy invites Grade 11 Filipino students for College Prep Program

MANILA, Philippines — The United States (US) Embassy is inviting Filipino students who are in Grade 11 to join this year’s College Prep Program.

According to the embassy, the College Prep Program is an 18-month virtual program with “personalized mentorship and support initiative for young Filipinos interested in applying to colleges and universities in the United States.”

It also offers “extensive advising and resources for prospective students.”

FEATURED STORIES

Grade 11 students with “excellent grades, active participation in extracurricular activities, leadership potential, and a family income” of less than P1.25 million a year are qualified to apply for the program.

Applications should be submitted through https://educationusaph.org/CollegePrepProgram-Application. Deadline of applications is on February 10.

The College Prep Program kicked off last year with a cohort of 11 learners.

Two of the 11 students got full scholarships to their top college pick. Others, meanwhile, were admitted to American colleges under partial scholarships.
