The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), however, said it  had already anticipated the glitches.

“The first two weeks will be a test registration, which means that registrations are valid, but there could be some difficulties and minor errors as the PTEs (public telecommunication entities) fine-tune the implementation process,” said DICT undersecretary Anna Mae Lamentillo.

SIM users may register their numbers within the next 6 months beginning Tuesday, December 27.

Unregistered SIM cards after the said period will be deactivated.
