MANILA, Philippines — The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) announced terminal reassignments of flights to ease passenger congestion at all terminals.

Starting Dec. 1, Philippine Airlines (PAL) flights to and from the United States, Canada, the Middle East, and Bali will transfer to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) Terminal 1 instead of Terminal 2.

PAL flights to other countries and local destinations will remain in Terminal 2. Starting Dec. 16, Air Asia flights to and from Cebu and Caticlan will also be transferred from Naia Terminal 4 to Naia Terminal 3.

The Miaa said this was “timely” as a surge in passengers is expected to arrive in Naia in the coming weeks.
