LUCENA CITY – A worker was killed and three others were injured after an acetylene tank exploded in Trece Martirez City in Cavite province on Tuesday, November 22, police report said Wednesday, November 23.

The Region 4A police said Eddie Boy Villar and three other laborers were cutting steel using acetylene at a construction site in Barangay (village) Gregorio around 11:40 a.m.

Suddenly, the tank exploded, killing Villar on the spot.

Three other workers, who were not identified in the report, also sustained injuries and were taken to the nearest hospital.

The police are conducting further investigations.
