Suspected NPA rebel nabbed in Batangas

PDEA nabs man in Leyte for keeping P374,000 worth of 'shabu' most wanted cebu

 

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested on Saturday an alleged New People’s Army (NPA) rebel in Calatagan, Batangas.

The Batangas police said a team of operatives, armed with an arrest warrant, swooped down on the safehouse of Elison Agnes, 59, in Barangay (village) Balitoc at around 9:40 a.m.

The suspect was facing charges of illegal possession of a firearms and explosives before the Regional Trial Court-Branch 10 in Balayan, Batangas.

The police said Agnes was a member of an NPA unit that used to operate in the Southern Tagalog region.
