USC guns for 19-U crown of ThreeSixty

THE undefeated University of San Carlos-RDAK will try to complete their perfect run today as they gun for the 19-under crown of the 2012 ThreeSixty Pharmacy Cup against the Adgers Sportswear at the City Sports Club basketball court in the Cebu Business Park.

The Warriors of USC steamrolled through the elimination round without a loss then booted out the University of the Visayas, 86-79, in the semifinal round. They will head to this game armed with a twice-to-beat advantage.

Adgers on the other hand, had to go through some anxious moments before outlasting the youngsters of the CVIRAA Selection, 74-71, nearly blowing a 12-point lead in the last two minutes of that match.

USC will lean on a deep crew bannered by Justin Diaz, Matthew Parker, John Saycon and Anthony Romaguerra among others. Adgers will again rely on scoring machine, Allen Dimco of the Cebu Institute of Technology Wildcats.

The last time these two teams met was in the eliminations with USC winning, 63-58, in a tempestuous  match. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
