Girls not missing
Cebu City traffic police went on heightened alert yesterday after receiving a call that three girls were kidnapped in barangay Quiot.
The mother panicked after learning that her children were fetched in a car while they were playing. She sought the help of barangay tanods who also alerted the police.
Her daughters s aged 12, 9 and 8 had gone out with a balikbayan neighbor who treated them to a snack.
They came home a few hours later.
The gold Mazda sedan stopped in front of them and invited the girls in.

Farmer killed
A FARMER was shot dead during a drinking spree in barangay Lusaran, a mountain barangay of Cebu City, Sunday afternoon.
Temoteo Puebla, 49, was with his friend and wife when he was shot allegedly by Ryan Doncillo who was with an unidentified companion.
Puebla was shot several times in the body.
PO2 Nilo Aventurado, homicide investigator, said the attack may be related to the 1996 shooting incident where Puebla was shot by Doncillo’s elder brother.
Puebla survived the attack but Doncillo’s brother was jailed because of the attack.
Aventurado said because of the incident, Doncillo may have held a grudge against Puebla. /Correspondent Chito O. ARagon
