Lapu-Lapu cops detain Korean who caused disturbance in casino

A 40-YEAR-OLD Korean woman was detained at the Lapu-Lapu police station on Sunday after she caused a disturbance by her continuous yelling  inside a casino in Lapu-Lapu City.

Then at the detention cell, Hei Won Yang attacked another detainee and later tried to commit suicide.

At the detention cell, police said Hei continued yelling.

When another female detainee  complained, police said Hei attacked her.

Police said Hei grabbed her by the neck and ordered police to open the cell several times.

Police rescued the detainee and transferred her to another cell, leaving Hei alone.

Later, police noticed Hei trying to tie one end of a towel around her neck and the other end on the grill bar.

Police went and stopped her.

Yesterday, a relative showed up bringing a certification that Hei suffering from a mental ailment. And that her actions were brought about by failing to take her medication.

Police later released Hei without charges when her colleagues fetched her yesterday. /Correspondent Norman V. Mendoza
