Olongapo’s active COVID-19 cases swell to 53
OLONGAPO CITY — Twenty-six new COVID-19 cases were added to the local tally in the last two days as the city continues to experience an upward trend in infections.
The new COVID-19 cases were registered between October 8 and 9, raising the total number of active infections to 53.
On October 8 alone, the city posted 24 additional cases, its highest single day tally in recent weeks.
A total of 7,465 COVID-19 cases have been registered in the city since the pandemic struck in 2020. Of this figure, at least 7,052 had recovered while 360 had died from the disease. INQ
