Magnitude 4.3 earthquake hits Burgos, Ilocos Norte

LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte — A magnitude 4.3 earthquake jolted Burgos town in Ilocos Norte province on Monday morning, according to Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

State seismologists recorded the earthquake at 6:50 a.m. and traced its epicenter some 35 kilometers northwest of Burgos town.

The quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of focus of 6 km, according to Phivolcs.
