Volunteers to pick up trash, plant trees in Olongapo to save environment

OLONGAPO CITY — The local government will hold a cleanup drive and tree planting in various locations in the city as part of its ongoing environmental campaign.

The campaign, dubbed “Making Riverth Possible,” is an annual event in the city and is now in its 6th edition.

Some of the activities lined up are a tree planting on Sept. 10 and a cleanup drive on Sept. 17.

FEATURED STORIES

The cleanup drive will cover the Parola in Barangay Kalaklan, Driftwood Beach in Barangay Barretto, and 17 villages, school grounds, and waterways in the city.

A fun run is also slated on Sept. 11, while organizers are to visit different schools to raise environmental issues awareness. INQ
