Corona’s wife received P6.1M from John Hay, says witness
MANILA, Philippines—Chief Justice Renato Corona’s wife earned a total of P6.1 million in salaries, allowances and benefits during the four years she was president of John Hay Management Corporation (JHMC), said the witnesses and documents presented by the defense team on Thursday.
Miriam Mosuela, financial officer of JHMC, testified before the Senate that Corona’s wife, Cristina received a total amount of P6,162,075.54 in salaries, allowances and benefits from 2007 to 2010.
Mosuela was made to identify a document by defense lawyer Jose Roy showing that Mrs. Corona received salaries, benefits and allowances in 2007 amounting to P1,315, 746.30; 1,959,178.15 in 2008; 1,915,002.79 in 2009; and P972,148.30 in 2010 or a total amount of P6,162.075.54
