DSWD seeks parents of abandoned child

THE Department of Social Welfare and Development in Central Visayas (DSWD-7) is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the parents and relatives of the abandoned child.

The baby boy, estimated 6-9 months old, was referred to the DSWD-7’s Reception and Study Center for Children on Nov. 9, 2011 by barangay officials of Kasambagan, Cebu City. The child is cuddled by Cipriano Artajo Jr., who was found out to be mentally unstable.

The parents and relatives may see social workers Grenadier Noel and Sheba Dabon at DSWD-7 office on M.J. Cuenco Avenue, Cebu City with contact number 233-8779.

Failure of the parties to appear or claim the child within two months will subject the child for abandonment.
