MANILA, Philippines — Continue to expect rain over the Ilocos Region and extreme Northern Luzon on Tuesday due to the southwest monsoon, locally known as the “habagat,” said the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

(There is a high chance of rain, especially in the Ilocos Region, and in Extreme Northern Luzon, still caused by the southwest monsoon.)

(While in the rest of Luzon, the weather will be calmer except for isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.)

Meanwhile, the entire Visayas and Mindanao will experience generally fair weather with high chances of rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

According to Badrina, low-pressure areas or storms forming or entering within the Philippine area of responsibility are unlikely this week.

No gale warning was also raised on any of the country’s coasts, as only slight to moderate sea conditions are expected over the country’s in-land seas and surrounding waters.
