Rep. Sandro Marcos on father’s first Sona: ‘Everything we’re expecting to hear, we will hear’
MANILA, Philippines — Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative Sandro Marcos, son of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., assured that his father will tackle all issues the people hope to hear for him during his first State of the Nation Address (Sona) on Monday.
After seeing parts of the President’s speech, the younger Marcos said he believes “people will be very happy with what [his father] has to say.”
“I think everything we’re expecting to hear, we will hear,” he told reporters, hours ahead of his father’s first Sona at the Batasang Pambansa in Quezon City.
“It’s going to be on the technical side, but I think that’s what people are looking for. That’s what I think is a good signal for foreign investors, local investors, and of course, our legislative [branch] are going to be listening in,” Sandro added.
He, however, kept mum about the specific issues that will be tackled in his father’s first nationwide address.

Asked if his father’s Sona will carry a resemblance with that of his grandfather’s, Sandro replied: “In terms of style and delivery, we’ll see some similarities here and there. So, we’ll wait and see.”
