DPWH: Weekend repairs on Edsa, C-5, and QC

DPWH to reblock Edsa sections over weekend

MANILA, Philippines — Parts of Edsa, the C-5 Road and some roads in Quezon City will be closed to traffic for reblocking and repairs starting Friday night, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.

In an advisory, the MMDA said the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) would conduct the reblocking and repairs starting 11 p.m. of July 8. The affected roads will be re-opened to traffic at 5 a.m. of July 11.

The road reblocking will affect the following:

  • Esda Guadalupe, Makati City, Southbound innermost lane (bus way) from Bernardino St. going to Estrella Street
  • Edsa Northbound, Quezon City along Santolan MRT Station (Edsa Carousel bus lane) after P. Tuazon flyover to Aurora tunnel (3rd lane from center island fast lane) after Aurora Blvd. to New York (3rd lane from island, intermittent section) after Kamuning/Kamias Road to JAC Liner Bus Station (beside center island)
  • Edsa-Quezon City Southbound (Balingasa Creek to Oliveros Footbridge)
  • C-5 Road Southbound (2nd lane), Makati City
  • C-5 Road Pasig City along Pasig Blvd. Southbound near Chooks To Go Pineda and along Doña Julia Vargas in front of Sitel Building
  • Batasan Road Sinagtala Street to IBP San Mateo Road (2nd lane from plantbox)
  • Visayas Avenue Southbound Road 10, Elliptical Road (2nd lane from plantbox)
  • Visayas Avenue Northbound Elliptical Road to Central Avenue and near corner Congressional Avenue (2nd lane from sidewalk)
