Lensman, coed robbed in Manila

A freelance photographer and a college student lost almost P300,000 in cash, electronic gadgets and valuables to thieves in Manila in separate incidents.

Based on the complaint she filed with the Manila Police District theft and robbery section, Cindy Asiodche, 26, a photographer, said that burglars broke into her house on Nava Street in Balut, Tondo, on Tuesday and took P50,000 in cash; more than P50,000 worth of camera equipment; a laptop computer worth P60,000; two cell phones and other gadgets.

On the other hand, Philippine Normal University student Rosabelle Mahinay said that she lost her bag at the school’s main building on Taft Avenue, which contained P1,000 in cash, a laptop computer, a cell phone and other valuables.—Jeannette I. Andrade
