Teen pregnancies reached 5,620 in Negros Occidental
BACOLOD CITY –– At least 5,620 teenage pregnancies were recorded in Negros Occidental in 2021.
The Provincial Health Office said on Thursday, May 26, that at least 144 were 10 to 14 years old.

Health Education and Promotion Officer Jeny Saron presented the report at the International Day of Action for Women’s Health program at the capitol in Bacolod City.
She said 5,476 Negrenses aged 15 to 19 years got pregnant in 2021, bringing the total teenage pregnancies to 15 percent of the 37,663 pregnancies of all ages last year.
